Summer In Iceland
Iceland, the first thing that comes to mind that it has snow and ice--lots and lots of it. However, there's more to this small island near the North Atlantic than meets the eye. There's just something mystical about Iceland that takes hold of your attention and make you stand in awe for its alluring formation. This "small but terrible" island has more amazing and unique things to offer to the world that will blow your mind but before that let's get back to where it all started...
Birth of an Island
Iceland emerged as a result of the divergent, spreading, boundary between the Eurasian plate and North American plates and the activity of the island's own hot spot or mantle plume...
This little European nation is situated on the Mid-Atlantic ridge, a seam in between the North American Plate and Eurasian Plate.
Ironically, despite being named "Ice"land, this country is actually abundant in geothermal energy! The name belies its many other landforms created through heat, because geologically, Iceland is one of the hottest places on earth. The country possesses some of the world’s most diverse landforms, from volcanoes and geysers to majestic waterfalls, glaciers and vertical sea cliffs.
Iceland offers its beauty and complexity to the world, showing their natural landforms and phenomena...
